Write It Right, Say It Correctly

(A Skills Enhancement Programme For Administrative Professionals)

There is generally a decline in English language competency among young people joining the work force. Often enough, clerical or junior administrative staff finds it difficult to complete assigned tasks in daily business communication, making it necessary for senior executives or managers to spend extra time going over junior officers’ work – management is therefore losing organisational time in tackling mundane issues such as re-working written business letters and reports.  Also, because of popular culture and the general lack of emphasis on speaking standard English, the younger generation often resorts to using colloquial expressions, making it even more difficult for them to improve their English communication skills. This programme aims at helping junior level administrative professionals, particularly those whose mother tongue is not English, improve basic business writing and speaking skills.
